Focuslight Introduces 20W 1550nm Conduction Cooled LD

Xi’an, China, September, 2009 - Focuslight Technologies Inc. releases its 1550nm conduction cooled single bar diode laser at continuous wave operation mode. It can provide a maximum output power of 20W, reaching to the international highest technique level. Laser with a wavelength of 1550nm is the safest to human eyes, which can provide an? exposure for human eyes 400, 000? times larger? than that of 1064nm Nd:YAG lasers, and 1000,000? times larger than that of 10.6μm CO2 lasers. Meanwhile, light at 1550nm wavelength is in the atmospheric transmission windows, and its ability to penetrate through smoke is approximately five times stronger than that of 1064nm Nd:YAG lasers.
